Moleskine (pronounced mol-a-skeen’-a). For the last two centuries, these little notebooks have been used by artists - Van Gogh, Picasso and Matisse wrote and sketched in them - and carried by world wandering writers including Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin. Modern travellers still find their simple layout, lightness and robust construction suits their function to perfection. In fact you may have seen Rick Stein recording South East Asian recipes in a Moleskine notebook during his recently screened 'Far Eastern Odyssey' TV series.
